From Sutton Hoo to the Wilton Diptych: A Journey Through English Medieval Art and Culture
This course will take a journey through the English historical and cultural landscape, covering a period of time from the 7th to the late 14th centuries.
As signposts, it will use examples of notable cultural output. These will include, in particular, architecture, manuscript illumination, music and literature. In all these areas the scale of achievement is quite remarkable and serves to capture something of the spirit of the age as well as speaking to us surprisingly powerfully today.
Residential Fees From: £395. Non Residential: £265
Course runs from Dinner on Friday to Lunch on Sunday.
