Dame Agatha Christie has been dead for more than forty years but remains a household name and is still the bestselling author of all time. Fellow crime writer Diane Janes shares the fascinating and sometimes surprising story of how a woman with little or no formal education rose from obscurity and eventually outsold everyone except Shakespeare and the Bible.

All-comers welcome.

Includes lunch. Lunch is served from 1pm and lecture begins at 2pm.

Diane Janes is an award-winning author, who has written five highly regarded crime novels and four respected factual books on real life historical murders. She is an expert on historical murder cases, specialising in the first half of the twentieth century. Her TV work includes ITV3’s A-Z of Crime and BBC’s Murder, Mystery and My Family.
