Foundations of Yoga
Have you ever wondered what Yoga is all about but not felt confident or flexible enough to commence general classes? Or have you had a break from Yoga and would like to refresh your practice from the roots up?
Then this Foundations of Hatha Yoga Workshop is for you!
During a full day we will take a deeper dive into some of the key components, principles and poses that collectively form the basics of yoga. The focus of the day will be to enhance your understanding of the broader context of Hatha yoga and build your knowledge and confidence in your practice. Hatha Yoga is a popular form of Yoga which includes a wide variety of physical postures and breath integration to strengthen the body, enhance flexibility and focus the mind.
Bev Alderson, through her business Practically Balanced, works with individuals, groups and workplaces wanting to take a positive approach to wellbeing. She previously worked in IT management, in the UK and Australia. Here she learnt first-hand the impacts of a high-pressure environment and lifestyle and how, left unchecked, these can negatively impact health. Bev completed a Diploma in Yoga with Qi Yoga, Sydney. A Certificate in Stress Management with the London Centre for Coaching and Counselling & an ILM with the Stress Management Society, a Diploma in Mindfulness with the British School of Meditation and a Diploma in Nutrition with Gateway.
