The Dillington House Sewing Bee – Make a Skirt in Two Days
A series of sewing courses, each one building your skills and confidence.
A Skirt in Two Days.
This two-day course is aimed at students who would like to learn more about making their own skirt patterns, creating their own design to suit their figure. Body measurements will be taken to enable you to make a paper pattern, techniques of changing dart positions, incorporating seam lines, gathers, pleats and flared skirts will be covered. Fitting and alterations needed to adjust the pattern will also be covered.
Students who have covered the previous courses where a block was drafted to fit themselves, can bring their own block. New students may use a standard size block copied from the tutor.
You will need to bring your sewing machine to the course.
Accommodation can be booked, subject to availability.
