Description

Roman blinds are a great way of dressing a window, giving a simple uncluttered look. This course will cover all the techniques and stitches required to make a lined and interlined Roman blind by hand, in order to produce a professional finish. This course is suitable for all abilities, however students should be able to use a basic sewing machine. Students will make a sample Roman blind approximately a metre square.

You will need to bring your own sewing machine.

Tutor information

Jenny Harrison has been a tutor of Soft Furnishings for more than 15 years, she has a Certificate in Education and has taught to Level 3 City and Guilds at local colleges. In the past she has written articles for Sewing World Magazine. Currently she runs her own classes privately for dressmaking and also offers a bespoke soft furnishing design service to private clients.
