Description

A day exploring colour and textures when printing with real leaves.  We will be using the heat press and dyes to print fabric using sublimation printing which can achieve the most surprising and beautiful results.

You will print onto a variety of polyester fabrics which can be used as linings, artwork and samples.

Suitable for beginners.

Clare Walsh is a Textile Designer, Maker and Workshop tutor, with a background in education and a lifetime love of textiles she uses botanical material to print directly onto fabric, creating vibrant unique prints which are used in garments, interior products and accessories. Inspired by and printed from nature her printed textiles are created for bespoke commissions and special projects. Travels in India and a growing collection of hand carved Indian printing blocks have inspired hand printed designs on natural linen and organic cottons and Clare’s enthusiasm for printed textile design, is communicated in the range of courses and workshops she delivers to students of all ages.
