This course is part of Dillington Discoveries Winter week.

This course is intended for digital photographers taking the first steps into editing their images. It will include:

File & Colour management.
Establishing an image ‘workflow’.
Basic image manipulation to enhance the image.
How to save and export for various purposes.
Photo Books.

Nick will demonstrate the use of Lightroom & alternative software programs; we will all use a free software which can be downloaded.  All programs adopt similar working methods (more expensive programs simply give greater functionality and improved algorithms).  You will need to bring a Laptop or similar to the course, along with with your images to work on.

Nick Matthews BA (Hons) Commercial Photography, MA (Photography), ARPS (Associate of the Royal Photographic Society) AFHAP (Association for Historical & Fine Art Photography).

Nick originally trained in film photography (in the mid Seventies) and more recently studied digital photography, full time for five years, at Exeter and Plymouth colleges. During his Master’s degree he undertook teaching degree level student’s photography.

Nick is a freelance photographer with a diverse client base across the UK. With an ethos, of ‘A simple solution for a great image’ underpins his practical approach to teaching and having fun with photography.
