Description

A relaxed fun day’s practical photography experience of the Architectural Photography.
The day starts with brief introductions by each participant and a favourite image they have taken or would like to try and take.

We will utilise the historic building of Dillington House itself, both inside and outside, to demonstrate and undertake taking architectural images.

Ideal for someone with an interest in photography and who wants to technically and visually improve their image creating. Suitable for all.

Morning
Metering / shutter speeds / apertures / ISO / Histograms.
Techniques for shooting Interior and exterior spaces.
HDR & Panorama’s.
Using Natural Light / Artificial Light and blending the two.
Colour balance and colour management.

Afternoon
Taking photographs  / reviewing images taken.
Editing options.
Round up of the day.

Tutor information

Nick Matthews BA (Hons) Commercial Photography, MA (Photography), ARPS (Associate of the Royal Photographic Society) AFHAP (Association for Historical & Fine Art Photography).

Nick originally trained in film photography (in the mid Seventies) and more recently studied digital photography, full time for five years, at Exeter and Plymouth colleges. During his Master’s degree he undertook teaching degree level student’s photography.

Nick is a freelance photographer with a diverse client base across the UK. With an ethos, of ‘A simple solution for a great image’ underpins his practical approach to teaching and having fun with photography.
