Description

A relaxed and fun day’s experience of practice and theory to enable everyone to understand their camera and improve their photography skills.

The aim is to take photographs of local landscapes, ideal for anyone with an interest in photography.

Suitable for all. The local site/s chosen will have access to all and are not a ‘hike across fields’. Lamberts Castle and Stonebarrow Hill near Charmouth, Dorset.

Morning:
Introduction on how to use a digital camera for Landscape Photography.
Further tuition and One 2 One help throughout the day on site.
Coffee break and depart Dillington to photograph local landscapes.

Packed Lunch

Afternoon:
More Practical sessions taking images and tuition.
Return to Dillington and review images from the day.

Tutor information

Nick Matthews BA (Hons) Commercial Photography, MA (Photography), ARPS (Associate of the Royal Photographic Society) AFHAP (Association for Historical & Fine Art Photography).

Nick originally trained in film photography (in the mid Seventies) and more recently studied digital photography, full time for five years, at Exeter and Plymouth colleges. During his Master’s degree he undertook teaching degree level student’s photography.

Nick is a freelance photographer with a diverse client base across the UK. With an ethos, of ‘A simple solution for a great image’ underpins his practical approach to teaching and having fun with photography.
