Evening Introduction to Mindful Meditation for Beginners
Thursday evenings 7:00pm – 8:00pm.

This course will be of interest to those who want to learn more about healthy living, holistic healing, stress reduction, keeping fit, managing illness and pain.
An introduction to Mindful Meditation. This course is suitable for beginners and people who have some experience of meditation but do not, as yet, have a daily practice in place. The course is about experiencing different gateways in meditation, becoming a confident meditator and using mindfulness for stress reduction and building resilience to challenges we all encounter. It is also about gaining more control over our thoughts and emotions.
You will experience several different gateways into meditation including, breath, mantra, mindfulness, guided visualization and walking. Through these experiences you will find one technique that feels comfortable to you and will enable you to start your own practice at home. We will also look at the benefits of meditation, the science behind the benefits and what goes on in the body as we meditate.
You do not need to bring anything with you, but it is beneficial to wear comfortable clothing. The meditations will be done sitting in a chair meaning you can meditate anytime, anywhere.
