Indian Block Printing Workshop
Description
We will start by looking at examples of hand block printed fabrics, considering design placement, colour and pattern.
Using a selection of hand carved Indian woodblocks experiment printing patterns, you will print patterns on different weight paper . We will then plan a design suitable for a longer piece of fabric which could be used as a table runner and consider choice of blocks and colours. In the afternoon you will print your table runner onto a neutral colour linen.
Suitable for beginners or those who have taken part in a block printing workshop previously.
