This practical course is designed for bobbin lacemakers of all abilities. For those who have knowledge of basic bobbin stitches there is the opportunity to be introduced to the techniques of this classic English lace. Those experienced in Honiton lacemaking can expand their skills and understanding of this lace and gain inspiration and guidance on interpretation and design development. Whatever your level, come and enjoy the magic of lacemaking.

Elizabeth Trebble Started lacemaking in 1978 and became a member of the Devon Lace Teachers Association in 1985 working for Devon County Council as an adult education tutor for twenty years, and then for the WEA for a further nine years before continuing as a self-employed tutor teaching weekly classes in Devon and courses both nationally and internationally. Elizabeth held the position of Chairman of the Devon Lace Teachers Association for nine years, and at the beginning of 2019 has been elected to the position for a second term.
Elizabeth is involved in running a monthly lacemaking club for children and annually organises lace exhibitions, in particular the Devon County Show and the Mid Devon Show. Since 2002 Elizabeth has been a volunteer at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter working on the extensive lace collection and has undertaken similar work with Sidmouth Museum and the Fashion and Costume Museum in Bath
