Description

A day exploring textures, colour and design using the heat press and sublimation printing . We will be preparing our own dye papers, and learn how to use different textures,  images , leaves and interesting materials to create amazing , imaginative designs.

Suitable for beginners or for those who have taken part in the Printing with Leaves and Introduction to Printed textiles workshops.

Tutor information

Clare Walsh is a Textile Designer, Maker and Workshop tutor, with a background in education and a lifetime love of textiles she uses botanical material to print directly onto fabric, creating vibrant unique prints which are used in garments, interior products and accessories. Inspired by and printed from nature her printed textiles are created for bespoke commissions and special projects. Travels in India and a growing collection of hand carved Indian printing blocks have inspired hand printed designs on natural linen and organic cottons and Clare’s enthusiasm for printed textile design, is communicated in the range of courses and workshops she delivers to students of all ages.
