If you really want to let rip with your voice, there’s no better way than by singing in a gospel choir.
Spend a weekend with experienced gospel choir director Jo Sercombe learning how to create that special gospel vocal sound and having a go at the swaying and clapping, while exploring a variety of gospel repertoire including traditional ‘call and response’ structures, early spirituals and contemporary American gospel.
No previous singing experience or ability to read music notation required, just a desire to make a joyful noise!

Jo Sercombe is a fantastic motivational educator, vocal coach and musical director who is loves making singing accessible to all. Alongside her role as Senior Lecturer in Singing & Musical Theatre at Bath Spa University, she travels the country leading singing workshops with community choirs, businesses, and in education.
She founded and directs Bath Community Gospel Choir and creates original music with Young Carers as a workshop leader for Bath Philharmonia’s Education Team. Jo also enjoys her role as President of Priston Music Festival.
