Churchill came to fine art in middle age. This lecture explains why the great man began to paint, the subjects he chose and the style he adopted.
All-comers welcome.
Includes lunch. Lunch is served from 1pm and lecture begins at 2pm.
Tutor information
Angie Smith has a first-class degree in Art History and a PhD in Combined Historical Studies. She has more than a decade’s experience teaching undergraduates and taking adult education classes for Leicester University. She is an accredited NADFAS lecturer, has contributed articles to many scholarly journals and has published several books including A Timeline of Art History.
