Dormouse Needle Felting Workshop
Fibre artist Carla Taylor of The Mousehole Woolery will guide you step by step through the basic techniques of needle felting as well as sharing lots of tips and tricks that she has learnt along the way as well as her love and passion for local Dorset and British wool.
By the end of the workshop you will have created your own Tilly Dormouse out of beautiful wool ready for you to take home or, if you can part with them, to give to someone as a special gift. The workshop will also include how to create a wire armature, small digits and how to use different felting needles to create different effects with wool.
This workshop is suitable for both beginners or those with some experience of needle felting. The price of the workshop includes all materials and a needle felting kit, that you get to keep, take home and carry on creating with.

Carla Taylor: The Mousehole Woolery is situated in the heart of the Dorset Countryside and is the home and studio of fibre artist Carla Taylor. The Mousehole Woolery creates contemporary sustainable wool sculptures inspired by the animals and landscape of the British countryside and coastline using local Dorset and British wool using the technique of needle felting, transforming loose fleece in to sculptural work of art!
Carla exhibits her sculptures at the Dorset Arts Festival at Sculpture by the Lakes in Dorset and at various galleries across the South West. She has also been featured on the Channel 4 programme Craft it Yourself and in Craft & Design Magazine, Wildlife Watch and the International Felting Association magazine.
