Dame Laura Knight – Celebrating Her Life and Work
Originally planned for the 50th anniversary of the artist’s death in 2020, this course complements recent exhibitions in Penzance and Milton Keynes. Knight’s rich and diverse career spanning eight decades marked a turning point for women in British art history.
We will accompany the artist on a journey during which she records some of the most significant events, developments and figures in the cultural, political, social and technological history of the 20th century. As with Knight herself we will be behind the scenes as these unfold before our eyes.
