Christmas Card and Gift Block Printing – COURSE FULL
Description
A day to explore the craft of Indian Block Printing to create your own wrapping paper, cards and textile product. You will have the opportunity to use a collection of 60 hand carved Indian wood blocks to print onto a variety of materials to produce your own designs. We will experiment with colour mixing, design placement and combining blocks and layering to produce interesting results.
No previous experience needed, a relaxing craft for everyone.

Clare Walsh is a Textile Designer, Maker and Workshop tutor, with a background in education and a lifetime love of textiles she uses botanical material to print directly onto fabric, creating vibrant unique prints which are used in garments, interior products and accessories. Inspired by and printed from nature her printed textiles are created for bespoke commissions and special projects. Travels in India and a growing collection of hand carved Indian printing blocks have inspired hand printed designs on natural linen and organic cottons and Clare’s enthusiasm for printed textile design, is communicated in the range of courses and workshops she delivers to students of all ages.
