Description

Taking inspiration from nature, on this studio based course, we will learn about drawing and colouring fruit, fruit, flowers or vegetables of your choice, in the popular and realistic medium of dry coloured pencils, the versatile watercolour pencils or the essential and elegant graphite pencils. Demonstrations will be given for those new to these mediums and tuition will be individual, making this course suitable for all abilities.

Residential Fees From: £390.   Non Residential: £278

Course runs from Lunch on Monday to Lunch on Wednesday.

Tutor information

Susan Hillier is an established illustrator and botanical painter, who has exhibited widely and has had several solo exhibitions. She has illustrated plant and gardening books and worked as a scientific illustrator at Kew Gardens. Susan has RHS medals and has recorded orchids for the RHS. Recently she completed many illustrations for seven gardening books by Alan Titchmarsh. She is a founder member of the Society of Botanical Artists and teaches on their Diploma course. Susan enjoys teaching and has extensive experience teaching art at all levels.
