Tutor information

Sarah Jarrett-Kerr Sarah trained at Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts and has been bookbinding for thirty odd years. She set up a Bindery for the British School in Rome and has subsequently always had a bindery from home. Commissions have included a works for Shirley Williams (Cabinet Minister and MP) Sarum College of Theology and Wells Cathedral School and even a rescued New Testament for a ship-wrecked mariner.  Sarah finds a compulsive urge to work with paper, leather and gold.
The book’s content inspires the design of the binding with a contemporary or naturalistic edge which also asserts a respect for structure and tradition.
