Bobbin Lace
Description
This course will suit all abilities of bobbin lacemakers from those just starting through to advanced. It covers English laces and many from the continent including Belgium, Spain and Russia. Many of the continental laces are taught with the aid of a colour-coded diagram to help students continue their work at home. Help and advice is available for the important related topics of thread choice, finishing and mounting lace.

Jacquie Tinch has taught for over 30 years at venues throughout the country including several courses for The Lace Guild. She was Chairman of The Lace Guild and served on their Education Committee for several years with a particular interest in the Assessment Scheme. She has also taught in America, Canada, Spain and Ireland and studied in Spain, Belgium and Russia as well as with many of the leading UK tutors. She won the Individual’s Trophy in The Lace Guild’s ‘Myth or Mystery’ Triennial Competition and has exhibited in America and Spain.
