Description

Capture the Autumnal beauty of the berries in our hedgerows and gardens through bead embroidery and stitch.

You will be guided through some easy techniques to produce your own stunning beadwork incorporating hand embroidery to give depth to your piece. Friendly personal tuition will be given at every stage.

A knowledge of some basic embroidery stitches would be an advantage, but all levels of ability are welcome to this day workshop.

Tutor information

Helen Roskell’s passion for hand embroidery started in early childhood. Her deep interest in pattern, colour and texture extended into many artistic areas of study and has always enjoyed experimenting with stitch and design.
As an experienced school teacher it comes as second nature to share and pass on her own enthusiasm in learning and developing new skills. After studying for the City and Guilds Certificate in Creative Embroidery and Design at Exeter College Helen went on to run her own creative Textile Workshops, teaching adults of all abilities.
Helen has also given talks and demonstrations to local groups in Somerset.
