Friday Lecture. 70th Anniversary – ‘I’ve got a Metal Knee’: A 70 Year Olds Gap Year.
70th Anniversary. ‘I’ve got a Metal Knee’: A 70 year olds Gap Year. As a university lecturer, John spent forty years urging students to make the most of a gap year. At 18 he did the world’s worst – working as an accountant in the City of London. On becoming semi -retired John decided to go around the world and prove that 70 year-olds still have it in them! John’s lecture will cover many of his adventures from the champion omelette maker of Jodphur, surviving a bungee jump in New Zealand and insights into art galleries visited on his trip.
Includes three course lunch.
Friday 11th September 2020 1pm-4pm.
